Welcome to Applewood Christian School! We are a nondenominational private school dedicated to discipling students to be more like Christ daily and growing future Christian leaders.
Educating an Applewood student is a partnership between the teachers, the parents, and the students, each giving their very best. Teachers present the concepts to students on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in a normal classroom environment. Class sizes are kept small at ACS with the maximum enrollment of eight to ten students per grade. Tuesday and Thursdays, students do homework with parents supervising and going over problem areas. This partnership ensures that parents are involved with their child’s learning while the student has the benefit of an interactive learning environment. Our curriculum stresses a Christian perspective and teaches the student to adapt a Christian worldview. High academics are encouraged as students are taught to manage their time well and to be disciplined in getting their work accomplished.
Sports and extra curricular activities are also a part of the ACS experience. Whether playing volleyball, soccer, or basketball, students learn how to be like Christ even in a competitive arena. Integrity and character building are stressed in school, on the court, or on the field.
A love for your neighbor as yourself is the hallmark of the ACS Student Council. Whether working at Open Door, Meals on Wheels, or the Community Café or being part of a mission trip outside of our community, our students share Christ’s love wherever they go. As a member of the Sedalia Student Leadership Council, our students work alongside students from Smith-Cotton and Sacred Heart to show that teenagers can make a difference in the Sedalia community.
We invite you to come and take a look at Applewood Christian School. We hope that ACS will be a good fit for your family.
Yours in Christ,
