<P>Know the different kinds of sentences and their purpose. Declarative, Imperative, Interrogative, and Exclamatory....be able to identify each kind</P>
<P>Be able to identify the difference between a simple and compound sentence.</P>
<P>Be able to identify all subjects an verbs within sentences. Be extra careful and look for compound subjects and verbs. Also, ALWAYS include ALL helping verbs.</P>
<P>Be able to diagram a compound sentence, a simple sentence with compound verbs, and a simple sentence with compound subjects and verbs.</P>
