9th grade -- Grammar - do review pages 129-130 A, B, and C;  study for test

                  Literature -- study for test -- Remember you should have both review sheets already!

10th grade -- Grammar - do review page 117 A, B, and C;  study for test

                   Literature -- study for test -- Remember you should have both review sheets already!

4th grade -- No Spelling this week -- Yay!

                 Language -- do pages 116 and 117

Punctuation and Capitalization

 

Using Apostrophes:

You will find the possessive word or the contraction in each sentence that needs an apostrophe. Then you will write the word in the blank and include the apostrophe.

Study rules on pages 93 and 95.

The exercise will be similar to page 98 and Think A on page 99.

Punctuation:

You will circle the letter of the group of words which is correctly punctuated.

Study rules on pages 77, 79, 80, 93, 95, and 100.

The exercise will be similar to Think C on page 97 and Think B on page 101.

Possessives:

You will rewrite two sentences using a possessive word.

Study rules on page 95.

The exercise will be just like Think D on page 97.

Capitalization:

You will circle the letter of each group of words which is correctly capitalized.

Study rules on page 104, 105, 108 and 110.

The exercise will be just like Think C on page 104.

Capitalization and End Marks:

You will circle all words which should be capitalized and add all of the correct end marks.

In additions to the above rules for capitalization, study rules on page 107.

The exercise will be similar to Think B on page 108.

Direct Quotations:

You will rewrite a direct quotation, adding the necessary punctuation and capitalization.

Review rules on page 81, 85, and 93.

Ten points are given for overall neatness on the entire test.
