  • Guidelines for Missouri history notebook project.

     

    Dear Parents, 

          Your student has a special end of quarter project, "My State Notebook" which is to be completed and turned in by 5-8-2012.  

          This project is to be completed by your student with your assistance hopefully, outside of the classroom.  Grading of the project will  count as one test grade.  

           Instructions are included throughout the workbook.

          A guideline for completion of this book would be as follows so everything will not be last minute:

     

                           page 1-17   completed by 3/23/2012

                           page  19-37  completed by 4/6/2012

                           page   39-53 completed by 4/20/2012

                           page    55-73 completed by 5/8/2012  last day to turn in.

     

         I hope this is helpful to you in completing this project.

    HISTORY

    There will be an open book test over chapter 12.

     

    SPELLING

    If not finished with journal entry, Friday classwork, p. 73. finish for homework.

    Write spelling words in cursive in blanks on page 74.  Word bank entry words are staccato, surge.

    Do pages 75 and 76.

    MATH CLASSWORK FOR MONDAY FEB 13

     New Concept:  Reducing Fractions.   Read the section in the yellow box at the top of page 113.  If you do not understand, get your parents to help you.  Do page 113 and 114 for classwork.

     HOMEWORK FOR TUESDAY FEB 14 - Do pages 115 and 116 for homework.  There will be a quiz on Wednesday.  

    These are the things you need to study:

    1 pound =  16 ounces, 1 year = 365 days, 1 leap year = 366 days, 1 ton = 2,000 pounds,

    1 year = 12 months, 1 foot = 12 inches, 1 quart = 2 pints, 1 gallon = 4 quarts,

    1 decade = 10 years, 1 yard = 3 feet.
