  • Girls Soccer Parents Game and Awards Night information for May 10th, 5:30pm

The Parents/Girls Soccer game will start at 5:30 with warmups for those that won't wear out just doing the warmups :)

The game will be played on the field behind the school.  All parents that are not currently on oxygen or using walkers are encouraged to participate so we have plenty of subs. Parents only will play the first quarter, then it opens up to siblings on the parents team the second quarter.

After the game we will move into the ROC for the Awards Banquet.  We are changing it up this year and having a hot dog dinner in place of snacks.  The Athletic committee will provide the hot dogs, buns, chips, drinks, desert and service.  Each family needs to bring a side dish to share (no deserts or chips please).   There will be a sign up sheet for the number of people you expect to have attend to eat dinner after the game on Thursday, May 3rd.  Please be sure to have someone from your family sign the sheet.

We look forward to seeing all our soccer families for fun and fellowship May 10th.  If you have any questions you can call me at 660-525-2106.

  • Mustang Basketball Girls are the NCHBC 6A Small Schools NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!

During the week of March 19-24 the Mustang Girls Basketball Team were competing in the National Home School Basketball Championships.  They qualified for the 6A Small Schools Division and this is how the games went:

On Monday the girls played Team USA Blue and won 51-8

On Tuesday the girls played Team USA Silver and won 48-16

The girls are now playing in the ELITE 8 in the 6A Small Schools Gold Ball Division!!

Meredith and Miranda Crosier were chosen to play on the All American team in the showcase at Missouri State on Wednesday .

On Thursday the girls played Hudsonville Hornets (MI) and won 54-27

On Friday the girls played Wichita Defenders and won 48-35  putting them in the FINAL TWO and playing for National Champion!

On Saturday the girls played at Missouri State University for the National Championship against the Arkansas Hornets.  They WON with a score of 48-42.  Our girls are the National Champions!  Excellent job Savannah Crosier, Katie Rieckhoff, Emalea Rieckhoff, Meredith Crosier, Miranda Crosier, Sarah Nevils & Aleea Magras!  Every one of the girls played in the Championship game and put us in the winners circle.  What an awesome weekend to be a part of and at the end there was not a dry eye to be found, including Thom :)

These girls worked hard all week and put themselves into the FINAL FOUR against 24 other teams in the 6A Small Schools division of the National Homeschool Basketball Championships!  And then gave it one last push and WON the final game.  All 7 ladies have played in almost every game and have stepped up and left it all on the court each night and have been exceptional lights for Christ to the other teams players even through some very physical games.

This leaves the Mustang Girls with a season ending record of 26-5, an that isn't a small achievement but a school record!

We are so proud of you Mustang Ladies for your courage and character!  (Wear those bruises proudly!)
